JOYFUL NOIZE is made up of dedicated women and men of Holy Family Parish who volunteer their time to enhance the liturgical celebration of the faith community. From simple chants and plain song to complex vocal arrangements and anthems, JOYFUL NOIZE has built a reputation of vocal excellence and incredible passion that provides an underlying fabric to the liturgy that leads, moves and inspires the gathered assembly with the unmistakable presence of the Holy Spirit. JOYFUL NOIZE utilizes a wide range of material from traditional and current standard hymns, folk and ethnic music, popular contemporary Christian songs and original compositions in a similarly wide variety of musical styles to add texture and emotion to liturgy as only music ministry can. Individual members of JOYFUL NOIZE serve both their parish through other ministries and their local communities in ways too numerous to list. JOYFUL NOIZE has even lent their vocal talent to the Sacramento Kings, performing the National Anthem at a game inspiring the Kings to victory. (It had to be the choir!) JOYFUL NOIZE as a group participates in a joint effort with Holy Family's Catholic Youth Ministry in the "Feed My Lambs" program which ministers in a small way to the Sacramento Area homeless community. This program provides a traditional "day-after" lunch of leftover turkey and ham sandwiches and more on the day after Thanksgiving and the day after Christmas each year to some of those who are unable to utilize existing assistance facilities (Loaves and Fishes, the Sacramento Mission, etc.). The Lord is clearly present in the lives of these good people who come together to make great music!
